Child Abuse Witnesses
Teachers, coaches and other staff at educational institutions that witness child abuse would be required to report directly to police, under legislation introduced in the wake of the indictment of former Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky for child molestation. The law now says that the person must report only to a superior within the institution.
