A Widener University Law School panel last week cleared law professor Larry Connell of charges that he made racist, sexist and violent comments in his law course, according to his lawyer. However, he was found to have violated the university’s code against retaliation.

The three-member panel, which conducted a three-day proceeding last month, unanimously agreed that the accusations against Connell were “unproven,” said Thomas Neuberger of the Neuberger Firm in Wilmington, Del., a lawyer for the professor, in a media release.
