On May 5, 2011, plaintiff Ronald Henrie, 69, a retiree, was shopping at the Bottom Dollar store located at 6119 N. Broad St. in North Philadelphia. Henrie alleged that he was shopping in the produce section when he tripped over a plastic skid and fell and landed on his hands and knees. He claimed that he suffered a tear in his right posterior horn that required a knee replacement.
