Benesch Friedlander Hires New Shanghai HeadCleveland's Benesch Friedlander has recruited a new partner to head its Shanghai office. Richard Grams, previously a Shanghai partner with Troutman Sanders, replaces former Shanghai partner-in-charge Yanping Wang, who helped launch 160-lawyer Benesch's only international office in 2007. She moved to Miller Canfield's Shanghai office in August.2013-02-07 02:20:55 PM Cleveland's Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff has recruited a new partner to head its Shanghai office. Richard Grams, previously a Shanghai partner with Troutman Sanders, focuses on foreign direct investment and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has advised companies in the retail, aerospace, health care and financial services sectors. Grams replaces former Shanghai partner-in-charge Yanping Wang, who helped launch 160-lawyer Benesch's only international office in 2007. She moved to the Shanghai office of Detroit-based Miller Canfield in August. Prior to joining Troutman Sanders in 2010, Grams was a partner in the Hong Kong office of Stephenson Harwood. He also previously worked at Hong Kong firms Oldham, Li & Nie and Jimmie KS Wong & Partners. Benesch has three lawyers in its Shanghai office, including Grams. Aside from Cleveland, the firm also has U.S. offices in Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis; Philadelphia; Wilmington, Del.; and White Plains, N.Y. |
