Sprint Nextel Corp. has agreed to acquire the remaining shares of its affiliate, Nextel Partners, Inc., for $6.5 billion, ending a legal dispute that came about when Sprint Nextel acquired Nextel Communications last year. Also, Tommy Hilfiger Corp., known for its preppy clothes and sportswear, has agreed to be acquired by Apax Partners, a private investment firm, for $1.6 billion.
