The Commission on Judicial Compensation is set to meet today at 2 p.m. in Hearing Room 510, 25 Beaver St., in Manhattan. The meeting will be open to the public, but those wishing to attend must notify the commission through its website, www.judicialcompensation.ny.gov, by 10 a.m. today. The meeting also will be webcast at the site.

The commission is due to make recommendations by Aug. 28 on salary adjustments over the next four years for state judges, who have gone since 1999 without a raise. William C. Thompson Jr., the former New York City comptroller who chairs the commission, said members are expected to begin discussing specific raise levels for judges at Monday’s meeting and will likely meet one other time to finalize its recommendations (NYLJ, July 29).
