A demanding judge criticized by some members of the personal injury bar for her court demeanor has been transferred out of the Bronx Supreme Court and assigned to Brooklyn Civil Court, where she will hear lower-level commercial disputes and uncontested divorces.

Patricia Anne Williams (See Profile) is a Criminal Court judge who has been an acting Supreme Court justice for all but three of her 24 years on the bench. She had handled a mix of cases in the Bronx, including medical malpractice and negligence suits.
