A long-simmering trademark dispute between a Little Italy restaurant and a Long Island competitor seeking to claim the legacy of a legendary clam bar has ended with a federal judge canceling trademarks registered by the Manhattan eatery.

“While the Court is reluctant to take this measure, it is a result of Plaintiffs’ own actions,” Eastern District Judge Sandra L. Townes held in Vincent’s of Mott Street Inc., v. Quadami Inc., 05-cv-4358.
