Submissions To The National Law Journal

The National Law Journal Editorial Calendar

Thank you for your interest in contributing to The National Law Journal. We welcome articles written by attorneys on their areas of expertise.

Below is an editorial calendar and to the right are links to the NLJ's specifications for submitted bylined articles.

The calendar shows the special sections for this year. Each section focuses on a particular substantive area of the law or law firm management issues. We tend to assign articles roughly two months in advance of a section's publication date.

If you are interested in submitting an article for a particular special section, please e-mail the appropriate lead editor by clicking that person's name. It is very important to clear a topic with the lead editor before submitting an article. It is also important that you read our special section specifications and become familiar with them.

If you are interested in writing for a special section but are uncertain about the precise article topic, e-mail the lead editor for that section. We would be happy to discuss some article ideas with you. Please also note that we usually cannot accommodate articles on topics that don't fit into the categories listed on the calendar.

If you are interested in submitting an opinion piece, a book review or a letter to the editor, follow the appropriate link in the box to the right.
