Could Apple Inc. have a burgeoning new market on its hands? U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says he’s taken to using the company’s iPad device to electronically store and read materials that are submitted to the Court. “So I don’t have to schlep the briefs around,” Scalia revealed on Nov. 18, during the annual dinner of the Federalist Society’s national convention.
The justices’ technological savvy, already in doubt, has taken a hit recently. During one oral argument, Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. expressed confusion about text messages, and Justice Stephen Breyer told a Vanderbilt University audience that he couldn’t understand a recent film about Facebook. But Scalia told the gathering of conservative lawyers that he also has an iPod and uploads files onto the device himself. “It’s all classical music,” he said.
