One of D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty's top lawyers has resigned, and last week was disbarred, in connection with a legal malpractice case filed by a former client. Garrett Lee, 39, who had been interim deputy general counsel to Fenty, quietly stepped down from his post in June after Acting D.C. Attorney General Peter Nickles learned about ethics charges filed against him by the D.C. bar counsel and asked for his resignation.
