Career Initiatives, LLC specializes in the successful placement of qualified attorneys, of all practice areas and experience levels, in corporate legal departments and law firms throughout New Jersey, New York, and nationwide. The company's Principal, Jim Jacobus, graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University Law School in 1997. He was a Labor & Employment Associate at McCarter & English from 1997 through 2003,when he began his legal recruiting career. The company's other two full-time Recruiters are each former practicing attorneys.

Our client base ranges from smaller specialty boutique law firms and start-up companies to AmLaw 100 firms and Fortune 100 corporations (including all-sized pharmaceutical and financial services companies). In 1986, Myra Binstock, a former corporate paralegal, started her own search firm specializing in intellectual property law placement. Since those first tentative days, Myra Binstock Legal Search LLC has continued to grow.

Specializing in intellectual property law placement was a fortuitous choice. Ever interested and inquisitive by nature, Myra asked lots of questions and her enthusiasm and interest in an attorney's quest to move to a better situation resulted in making good placements and creating strong bonds of trust and relationships that are characterized by their longevity.
