Highlights: The Fidelity and Surety Law Committee is pleased to present The Law of Performance Bonds: A New Look At Today's Issues, a one and one-half day program based upon the recently published THE LAW OF PERFORMANCE BONDS (2d Ed. 2009. This is a must-attend program for surety professionals of all experience levels-whether they are counsel for sureties, contractors, owners, or whether they are engineers, consultants or claims adjusters involved in performance bond claims. The program will address conditions precedent to invoking claims under a performance bond; options available to a surety in discharging its obligations; the rights of a surety to contract balances; liability of the surety under the bond and underlying contract; and cases addressing claims of bad faith and other extra-contractual liability claims against a surety.
