If Chicago-Kent College of Law professor Carolyn Shapiro had her way, the public would have already heard audiotape of the dramatic announcement June 28 of the decision and dissents in the Affordable Care Act case. In spite of requests from the news media, however, it appears that the Court's policy of releasing recordings of opinion announcements long after the end of each term still stands.
