Jordan Weinstein, 54, has joined Barnes & Thornburg's Washington office as a partner. He focuses on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, Internet and high-technology matters. Previously, he was a partner at Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt. He received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.

LOCKE LORD

Marlon Paz, 41, has joined Locke Lord as partner in the Washington office. He focuses his practice on securities matters, business litigation, white-collar criminal defense and internal investigations. Previously, he was principal integrity officer at the Inter-American Develop­ment Bank. He received his J.D. at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

MCDERMOTT WILL & EMERY

Lisa Richman, 36, has joined McDer­mott Will & Emery's Washington office as partner. She focuses on international commercial and investment arbitration. Previously, she was of counsel to K&L Gates. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

PARKS IP LAW

Theodore Wood, 53, has joined Parks IP Law as partner and lead attorney in its new Washington office. He focuses on patent law with an emphasis on microprocessors, computer networking and communications-related technology. Previously, he was a partner at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox. He received his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law.

PILLSBURY WINTHROP SHAW PITTMAN

Bradford Blaise, 38, will be promoted from senior associate to partner in the Washington office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, effective January 1, 2013. He focuses on patent prosecution and counseling in the fields of software, electronic commerce and medical devices. He received his J.D. from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.

REED SMITH

David Houston, 56, has joined Reed Smith as a partner in its real estate practice in the firm's Falls Church, Va., office. He focuses on real estate development, with an emphasis on land use and retail leasing. Previously, he was a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. He received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

WHITEFORD, TAYLOR & PRESTON

Theodore Stein, 59, has joined Whiteford, Taylor & Preston's Wash­ington office as counsel. He focuses on business, employment and employee-benefits law and litigation, as well as family law. Previously, he practiced at the Law Offices of Theodore P. Stein. He received his J.D. from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.

WINSTON & STRAWN

Tom Dunham, 48, has joined Winston & Strawn's Washington office as partner in the intellectual property practice. He focuses on patent litigation, appellate work and related matters. Previously, he was a partner at Novak Druce + Quigg. He received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
