NEW ARRIVALS

Babst Calland (Pittsburgh): Alyssa Golfieri, Sacha Kathuria and Ashley Passero have joined the firm as associates. Golfieri is a member of the public-sector services group and focuses on municipal and land use issues. She received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2012. Kathuria is a member of the business services and energy and natural resources groups and focuses on energy, oil, gas and mineral-related transactions. She received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2010. Passero is a member of the litigation services group and focuses on general civil litigation. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2012

Blank Rome (Philadelphia): Shaun Bockert has joined the firm's intellectual property group as an associate. Bockert focuses on intellectual property and technology matters. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2012.

Fowler White Boggs (Tampa Fla.): Derek Rooney has joined the firm as an associate in the Fort Myers, Fla., office. Rooney focuses on general municipal law, land use, real estate and public-private partnerships. Previously, he was an assistant county attorney with the Charlotte County, Fla., attorney's office. He received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2006.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton (Atlanta): Jonathan Harris has joined the firm's patent litigation team as an associate in the Winston-Salem, N.C., office. Harris focuses on commercial and patent litigation matters involving software, chemical and other technologies. Previously, he was an associate at Stites & Harbison. He received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2008.

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough (Columbia, S.C.): Seven lawyers have joined the firm as associates.

In the Raleigh, N.C., office, Ronald Charlot focuses on business litigation and internal and government investigations. He received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2009. Frederick Zufelt focuses on health care and regulatory law and counsels clients on compliance with federal and state privacy and security laws. He received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2008.

In the Columbia office, Jarrett Coco focuses on business litigation, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, electronic discovery and litigation readiness, and records and document management. Coco received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012. Adam Hegler focuses on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, products liability and business litigation. Hegler received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2011. David Paavola focuses on business litigation, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, and products liability. Paavola received his J.D. from University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012. Brandon Smith focuses on products liability, commercial litigation and environmental litigation. Smith earned his J.D. in 2012 from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012. Blake Williams focuses on business litigation and consumer financial services litigation. Williams received his J.D. from University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012.

Quarles & Brady (Milwaukee): Jessica Lewis has joined the firm's intellectual property practice group as an associate in the Madison, Wis., office. Lewis focuses on drafting and prosecuting U.S., Patent Cooperation Treaty and foreign patent applications in a variety of technologies. Lewis received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2008. In addition, Tonya Vachirasomboon has joined the corporate services group as an associate. Vachirasomboon focuses on merger and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and general business matters. She received her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law—Indianapolis in 2008.

PROMOTIONS TO PARTNER

Vinson & Elkins (Houston): Four associates have been promoted to partner at the firm.

In the Houston office, Gregory Dillard is a member of the employment, labor and Occupational Safety and Health Administration practice. Dillard focuses regulatory enforcement actions initiated by federal and state safety and health agencies. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2002. Sarah Morgan is a member of the capital markets practice. Morgan focuses on advising energy clients on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and advising public and private companies on governance and general corporate and securities matters. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2004. Darin Schultz is a member of the finance?practice. Schultz focuses on secured lending transactions, project financings, and acquisition financings. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2004.

In the Dallas office, Marc Rose is a member of the mergers and acquisitions/private equity practice.Rose focuses on corporate transactional work, with a particular emphasis in energy transactions. He received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2003.
