A play’s the thing for 15 students taking a professional responsibility course at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

As part of a class titled Lawyers and Legal Systems and Their Social Context, the students researched and wrote a play called (IN)JUSTICE for Michael Austin. The work is based on the case of a Baltimore man sentenced to life in prison for murder and armed robbery in 1975. Following a legal battle to clear his name, Austin was released from prison in 2001 and was granted a full pardon in 2003.
