My last column talked about the Federal Courts Jurisdiction and Venue Clarification Act of 2011 (JVCA), which became effective on Jan. 6. That column discussed two problematic aspects of diversity jurisdiction, as well as substantive amendments to the general removal statute. The JVCA also clarifies several issues that had divided the courts on removal

practice and cleans up several issues with the general venue statute and change of venue statute. This column addresses those changes.
