Grammy Award-winning crooner Julio Iglesias has fans all over the world. His Web site is translated into seven languages, his records have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide and his tours have spanned the globe for four decades.

There is one place, though, where the singer may be considered persona non grata. Iglesias made headlines last October for canceling a concert in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a region that isn’t recognized as a sovereign nation by any country in the world, save Turkey.
