When a registered nurse named Michael Monzel pleaded guilty in 2009 to possession and distribution of more than 800 images of child pornography, his legal woes were far from over.
More than a year later, prosecutors, defense lawyers and attorneys for a victim whose image was included in the seized cache of illicit photos are quarreling over how much Monzel should pay in restitution — and whether he should have to pay at all.
