Chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona John Roll was killed by a gunman in Tucson on Jan. 8. The 63-year-old judge attended the event to speak with U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords about the volume of federal cases in Arizona, according to the complaint against the suspected gunman.
