After nearly a decade of legal wrangling, the 9th Circuit on Monday certified the largest civil class action in U.S. history, giving ultimately as many as 1.5 million women the green light to proceed with sex discrimination claims against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Lawyers for Wal-Mart suggested the retailer is considering an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
