Former Sonnenschein partner Douglas Rosenthal will get a second shot at litigating damages in a compensation battle against his old firm — if he wants to. The D.C. Court of Appeals has granted Rosenthal, now a partner at Constantine Cannon in Washington, a new trial for a portion of what he claims the firm owes him for generating about $18 million in fees while representing clients suing the Libyan government for the terrorist bombing of a Pan Am jet in 1988.
