PROMOTIONS

Bryan Cave: Nine associates have been promoted to counsel at the firm.

In the Chicago office, Jason Berne is a member of the firm's banking, business and public finance client service group. Berne will focus on representing lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, private placements, real estate-related financing, multiparty syndications and mortgage loans. Berne received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2000.

In the Atlanta office,  Michael Carey is a member of the firm's class and derivative actions; commercial litigation; and securities litigation and enforcement client service groups. Carey will focus on complex securities, corporate, financial and commercial litigation, including the defense of securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative actions, officer and director liability litigation, mergers and acquisitions litigation and fiduciary litigation. Carey received his J.D. from Duke Law School in 2000.

In the Kansas City, Mo. office, Rick Frawley is a member of the firm's products liability; commercial litigation; and labor and employment client service groups. Frawley will focus on representing business organizations and individuals in ownership disputes and claims arising out of the sale of business assets, technology and specialty products and services. Frawley received his J.D., from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1999.
 
In the New York office,  Erica Kassan is a member of the firm's alternative investments practice. Kassan will focus on alternative investment structures and arrangements, including hedge funds, managed accounts, private equity funds and hybrid structures. She advises fund managers, pension funds and other institutional investors and family offices with regard to asset management contracts, advisory arrangements, fund formation and related matters. Kassan also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, real estate and other joint ventures and general corporate matters. Kassan received her J.D., cum laude, in 1999 from Fordham University School of Law in 1999.

In the St. Louis office, Amy Lorenz-Moser is a member of the firm's products liability and commercial litigation client service groups. Lorenz-Moser will focuses on personal injury defense, including products liability and toxic torts. Lorenz-Moser received her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2000. Paul Stearns is a member of the firm's commercial litigation and products liability client service groups. Stearns will focus on consumer fraud and breach of warranty class actions, banking and real estate matters, including breach of contracts and titles, landlord-tenant disagreements and property tax sales. Stearns received his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2000.

In the Irvine, Calif., office, Megan Meyers is a member of the firm's corporate finance and securities; technology, entrepreneurial and commercial practice; and transactions client service groups.  Meyers will focus on corporate transactional matters, including private equity investments, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and general commercial transactions. Meyers received her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law—Bloomington in 1998.

In the London office, Jeremy Saideman is a member of the firm's transactions and corporate finance and securities client service groups. Saideman will focus on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, joint ventures, corporate finance and shareholder and commercial agreements. Saideman received his Law Society Finals from the College of Law, London in 1991.

In the Santa Monica, Calif., office, Rosario Vizzie is a member of the firm's commercial litigation client service group. Vizzie will focus on contract disputes involving major insurance companies, financial institutions, media and public relations firms, mortgage companies, manufacturers, distributors and retail businesses. Vizzie received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1995.
