NEW ASSOCIATES

Hancock & Estabrook (Syracuse, N.Y.): Three attorneys join the firm as new associates.

Meghan S. Gaffey joins the firm's corporate and health care practice. Prior to joining the firm, Gaffey interned for the Office of the Onondaga County, N.Y., District Attorney. Gaffey received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 2008.

Christina M. Verone joins the firm's litigation and zoning and land use practice. Prior to joining the firm, Verone served as a law clerk for Justice Anthony J. Paris of Onondaga County Supreme Court. Verone received her J.D. from Yeshiva University Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2008.

Robert C. Whitaker Jr. joins the firm's labor and employment practice. Prior to joining the firm, Whitaker served with the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps in the positions of defense attorney, deputy staff judge advocate, prosecutor and legal assistance attorney. Whitaker received his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 2005.

NEW ARRIVALS

Preti Flaherty Beliveau & Pachios (Portland, Maine): Paul J. Greene joins the firm's business law and bankruptcy law practice groups as an associate. Greene will focus his practice on litigation and sports law with an emphasis on Olympics doping, eligibility arbitrations and sports world immigration matters. Previously, Greene was an associate at Verrill Dana. Greene received his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2007.
