On Feb. 2, a four-alarm fire ravaged a row of historic buildings in Tyler, Texas. Solo Dan Hurst lost everything, including his computer's backup files. "When it was over, what I had left was five paper clips ... and that was because they were in my pocket." Attorney Nathan Hoffman says his small firm was able to salvage files and computers, but most of the furniture is lost. The good news, he says: "It wasn't Chippendales." Both offices have been moving on, with help from other attorneys and the courts.
