Squire, Sanders & Dempsey is the latest firm to lay off support staff. Alvin Davis, managing partner of Squire Sanders' Miami office, said on Friday that nine employees in Miami were laid off at the firm on Thursday. A firm spokesperson said no lawyers were laid off, but sources inside the firm said that three lawyers had been laid off, though they are still working at the firm until they find jobs elsewhere.
