October 20, 2008

The National Law Journal is seeking nominations for its 2008 Lawyer of the Year. The deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 26. Past winners include lawyers whose work had a substantial influence on law and society. Nominees with the best chance to win are those who have had the greatest impact in the last 12 months. Please send one-page nominations and limited supporting material to  Editor-in-Chief Steven Fromm at steven.fromm@incisivemedia.com.

The National Law Journal is seeking nominations of attorneys or law firms for our 2008 Pro Bono Awards. The deadline is Nov. 21. Past winners include lawyers whose pro bono work has entailed significant financial sacrifice, has had a broad impact and, because of their clients’ unpopularity, has exposed them to criticism. Please send nominations and any relevant supporting material to Assistant Managing Editor Michael Moline, by mail to The National Law Journal, 120 Broadway, 5th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10271; or by e-mail to michael.moline@incisivemedia.com.
