The appellant argues primarily that some of the evidence against him -- pseudoephedrine purchase logs -- was introduced in violation of the business records exception. It is not uncommon for a business to perform certain tasks that it would not otherwise undertake in order to fulfill governmental regulations. This does not mean those records are not kept in the ordinary course of business. The conviction and sentence are affirmed. 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, No. 11-50948, 04-30-2013.
