While the EPA and New Jersey have provided a framework to support certainty for liability protections in real estate transactions of potentially contaminated properties, these standards continue to shift. It is essential that purchasers, sellers and lessees comply with the most current laws, regulations and guidelines to protect themselves from future remediation liability.
