The data presented here summarize lawyers’ ratings of 350 judges assigned to the Superior Court’s Law and Chancery divisions statewide, based on the general assignment order dated July 3, 2012.
The Law Journal surveyed New Jersey state-court litigators over the period July 17 through August 17, 2012. We garnered names, locations and e-mail addresses from Skinder-Strauss Associates, publishers of the Lawyers Diary and Manual, to build a representative sampling of 26,691 attorneys dispersed throughout the state. Each was sent an introductory e-mail with instructions for completing the online survey. There were 2,768 completed surveys returned, a response rate of 10.37 percent.
