The survey presents lawyers’ ratings of the 350 judges in the Superior Court statewide as of the general assignment order dated July 2, 2009, except those who had been on the bench for less than six months as of the date the survey was commenced.
This is the Law Journal ‘s first Internet-based survey of lawyers about the state court bench. In the past, we’ve sent paper questionnaires, inviting anonymous replies by return mail. Instead, this year we used a Web-based questionnaire and contacted lawyers by e-mail, providing each of them with a unique link for completing the survey online.
