County referral services remain uneasy as New Jersey's State Bar Association proceeds with a Sept. 1 target for the start of lawyer advertising on its Web site. The State Bar says its goal is to help lawyers get clients. But some worry the directories will undercut the longstanding agreement that the state organization would leave the referral business to county associations. However, Essex Bar President Frederick Alworth says the county bar is looking forward to working on the issue with the State Bar.
