Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services (CLS) has divested itself of its 25 percent interest in AccessData Group, reflecting the company's intent to focus on its legal services.

Wolters Kluwer CLS focuses on legal process and business performance management, particularly involving corporate compliance, legal entities, lien portfolios, brands, and legal spend. AccessData Group specializes in digital investigation and litigation support. The business was formed in 2010 by combining the businesses of AccessData and Summation, formerly part of CLS.

The company says that proceeds of the sale will be used for general corporate purposes. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wolters Kluwer is headquartered in the Netherlands; Wolters Kluwer CLS is based in New York. Its businesses include CT Corporation, CT Lien Solutions, Corsearch, and TyMetrix.

AccessData Group is based in Utah.

Press release.
