WHILE YOU WERE OUT

A pair of major technology stories made headlines while the legal technology community converged in the Big Apple this week. First, smartphone maker Research In Motion announced long-awaited details of its next-generation BlackBerry products: the iPhone-esque Z10 will ship in March, followed by the keyboard model, called Q10, in April — at about $200 with a contract or $600 unsubsidized. RIM also is dropping its corporate name in favor of simply "BlackBerry." Second, we're about to see Dell Inc. go private — it looks like it will be acquired by investors, with Microsoft as a minority owner, according to Reuters.
