Huntingdon Valley, Penn.-based AlphaLit, the litigation support services division of AlphaSystems Inc., has announced the release of a predictive coding software, E-Predict.

E-Predict starts with a series of training sets drawn from random samples of potentially responsive documents, which a legal team tags for responsiveness or privilege, to teach the system to accurately mirror reviewers' decisions. A quality-control feature called "Disagreements" provides a second look at documents where E-Predict's choices are inconsistent with the human reviewer. Once the software determines additional training will no longer yield better results, it scores, ranks, and batches the documents for further review.

Users can receive additional support in the technology-assisted review process from AlphaLit consultants and project managers.

Press release.
