New York-based Doar Litigation Consulting LLC is adding Atlanta-based OrcaTec LLC's Document Decisioning Suite to its litigation support and e-discovery offerings.
According to Paul Neale, CEO at Doar, the company picked OrcaTec for its predictive coding tool, which uses a series of random document samples to allow a senior attorney or litigation team to train the software to tag documents as responsive or non-responsive. The company also chose OrcaTec Document Decisioning Suite for its other analytics offerings, which include concept search, visual clustering of documents by related topic, email threading, and near-duplicate detection. DOAR plans to use OrcaTec Document Decisioning Suite for e-discovery, investigations, regulatory response, and compliance and records management.
Neale was an advisor on the use of predictive coding in both the da silva Moore and Kleen Products cases. OrcaTec's predictive coding was selected by the defense in Global Aerospace.
