A new bill introduced this week in New Jersey aims to help fund the judiciary's establishment of an e-filing system that would lessen reliance on paper. The measure would create a "court modernization fund," into which the state would deposit revenue generated by filing fee increases, some of which would go to development, operation, and maintenance of the e-filing system.
