Steve Jobs, Dead at 56, Changed Tech Landscape

Steven Paul Jobs, the pioneering businessman of the microcomputer, animation, music, and mobile phone industries, died last night after a long battle with cancer. He was 56. Jobs did not personally invent things, but transformed existing inventions into world-changing products and services -- and was beloved by his customers for it.
