Burnsville, Minn.-based imaging software provider PictoColor has released new versions of its photo enhancement and color correction plug-ins for Corel PaintShop Pro. Each of these three plugins — called iCorrect Oneclick PSP ($20), iCorrect Portrait PSP ($30), and iCorrect EditLab Pro PSP ($30) — offer users the ability to automatically enhance photographs and correct such things as color, white balance, and skin tone.

All three plug-ins are compatible with versions Paintshop Pro X2 to X5 of Corel Paintshop. The cheapest of the three plug-ins, Correct OneClick, works only with 32-bit applications and features one-click color, white balance, and exposure corrections, along with the ability to turn color images into black and white or sepia-toned ones.

iCorrect Portrait features skin tone technology, allowing you to perfect (or destroy) skin tones using a point-and-click interface. iCorrect EditLab Pro provides a streamlined way to change color balance, tonal range, brightness, and other editing features using a tab-based interface. It also comes with PictoColor's trademarked "HueSelect" that lets you fine-tune specific colors on a hue-selective basis.

Press Release.
