Boise, Idaho-based e-discovery provider Zetta Discovery Group is offering a predictable cost for its cloud-based suite of e-discovery services, which include data collection, processing, and production. Zetta uses cloud computing with the software of technology partners such as Cumulus Data, Nextpoint Inc., and Venio Systems.

Zetta's new business model covers remote collection, pre-processing file filtering, scalable on-demand processing, Bates numbering and stamping, PDF conversion and OCR imaging, native file and legacy data export (Concordance and Summation), TIFF conversion, and Nextpoint's Privilege Protect to guard against inadvertent disclosure, among other offerings. The e-discovery service costs are included with Zetta's hosting and per gigabyte charges as follows:

• 3 months hosting at $600 a gigabyte.

• 6 months hosting at $1000 a gigabyte.

• 1 year at $1500 a gigabyte.

• Big data hosting starting at $50,000 a month for terabyte-sized matters.

The company name is derived from "zetta" in zettabyte.
