CDS Announces Hosted Discovery Platform With Document ReviewLaw Technology News 01-25-2013 New York-based e-discovery services provider Complete Discovery Source (CDS) announced that its Nytrix CIY (Control It Yourself) cloud-based e-discovery platform will be ready for production environments in the beginning of February. CDS will be offering information sessions during LegalTech New York about the new platform to interested parties by reservation (please see press release for details). According to the company, the inaugural release of Nytrix will primarily serve as a review tool. Nytrix will offer law firms, in-house counsel, and other legal professionals a low-cost, cloud-based alternative to CDS's service supporting kCura's Relativity e-discovery platform. Nytrix uses a web-based interface with native mobile support expected in future months. The company expects that future iterations will provide modular features comparable to Relativity. Nytrix provides native support for over 300 files types, including Microsoft Office, PDFs, and digital media. The web application features redaction and annotation capabilities, keyword highlighting, fully integrated document review, and a customizable dashboard that shows real-time progress. In addition, Nytrix offers horizontally scalable search indexes that can track search histories and generate detailed reports for so-called "Big Data" sets. Nytrix supplies organizations with granular security settings with a wide range of role-based security options. The platform also uses a "zero footprint" process that prevents temporary files or caches from being generated on end-user computers and devices and will be hosted at CDS's audited data center facilities. CDS also will provide information sessions for its CDS DigitalCustoms portable appliance.
