Sydney-based DocsCorp Pty Ltd has announced that contentCrawler, its optical character recognition tool to make non-searchable content stored in document repositories text-searchable, now integrates with Microsoft SharePoint.

ContentCrawler can identify an image file, a PDF image, or an image attached to an email message stored in SharePoint and convert the image into a text-searchable PDF file using OCR technology and save it to SharePoint as a replacement document for the original or a new version. Users can search an entire SharePoint library or conduct more specific searches on subsets of documents.

ContentCrawler also integrates with Autonomy iManage version 8.2 and up, OpenText eDOCS DM version 5.1.05 and up, as well as OpenText Content Server, ProLaw, and Worldox.
