Mushkin Releases 480-GB Solid-State Drive for UltrabooksLaw Technology News 12-11-2012 Lawyers holding up their netbooks and ultrabooks as more productive tablet alternatives can now add even greater memory to boast of the devices' advantages. Mushkin Inc., an Englewood, Colo.-based storage media company, has announced its latest Atlas mSATA solid state drive with 480 gigabytes capacity on a single module. The new SSD uses multilevel NAND Flash memory with a user-upgradeable firmware, a SATA III (mini-PCIe) interface that boasts up to 6 gigabits per second throughput in a 2-inch by 1.2-inch by .19-inch (length x width x height) frame that includes: a SandForce SF-2281 SSD processor; The new drives will be available in early January 2013 at select resellers and distributors in the U.S. and by mid-January worldwide.
