Quinn Emanuel to Open in Hong Kong

Quinn Emanuel has announced plans to open a Hong Kong office with a partner recruited from Korean law firm Kim & Chang. John Rhie will relocate to Hong Kong to become head of the firm's Asia international arbitration practice, pending approval by the Hong Kong Law Society. The firm said it would also relocate New York partner Carey Ramos.

- Singapore law firm Stamford Law Corp. has hired Lim Sin Teck, previously a counsel at White & Case, as a new partner for its corporate practice. Lim advises on debt and equity capital market deals. He also acts on debt restructurings and liability management matters. Lim is the second new partner hire Stamford has announced this week.
