SNR Denton, Vinson Advise on Total's $2.5 Billion Sale to Sinopec

Vinson & Elkins and SNR Denton have taken lead roles on French energy giant Total's $2.5 billion sale of a 20 percent stake in an offshore Nigerian oil field to Sinopec. It's the first major deal for SNR Denton since it unveiled plans to build the world's largest energy practice by combining with Canada's Fraser Milner and Paris-based Salans.

South Africa's ENS Takes Three-Partner Corporate Team From DLA's Local Arm
South African law firm ENS has hired a three-partner team from DLA Piper's local arm. Regional corporate and commercial head Ian Hayes, Lydia Shadrach-Razzino and Marc Friedman will be joined in Johannesburg by three associates and support staff. The hires come after ENS earlier this month announced it will open two offices in the region.
