With Covington's Help, Sudanese Bishop Granted Asylum in U.S.

Covington & Burling has helped secure asylum for a Sudanese Episcopalian bishop after he became a political target in his home country due to his support of South Sudan. After Bishop Andudu Adam Elnail came to the U.S. for medical treatment last May, conflict broke out in Sudan and his home, office and church were looted and destroyed.

ICC Prosecutor: Gadhafi Death May Be War Crime

The International Criminal Court chief prosecutor said Thursday there are "serious suspicions" that the death of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi was a war crime. Luis Moreno Ocampo said he has asked the head of the National Transitional Council what the government's plans are to investigate alleged war crimes by all parties, including the rebels.
