White & Case has opened an office in Abu Dhabi and expanded its Riyadh office, raising the number of the firm's lawyers in the Middle East to more than 60.

Six lawyers are relocating to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Partner Villiers Terblanche has relocated from New York to head the new office. It will focus in the areas of energy, infrastructure, project, asset and Islamic finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and investment funds.

The firm has also strengthened its office in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where it has an association with The Law Office of Mohammed Al-Sheikh. Four lawyers are being added to that office and the total number of attorneys is expected to reach eight by the end of the year.
