A federal judge has dismissed a libel lawsuit filed against attorney Barry Scheck, best-selling author John Grisham and others over books written about the wrongful conviction of two men in a 1982 murder. The suit was filed by a former district attorney in Oklahoma, a state criminalist and a former state investigator who all helped win the original murder convictions. Scheck said the ruling "is a victory for free speech and for holding officials publicly accountable for their role in wrongful convictions."
