Global warming has clearly become a hot topic for public debate. Can litigation be far behind? In fact, over a dozen lawsuits have already been brought in state and federal courts and more are anticipated. Attorneys Stuart M. Feinblatt and Monique Cofer discuss the major types of global warming litigation, some key defenses and some of the recent rulings. And they warn that although high legal hurdles could kill off private tort actions, similar assumptions were made about tobacco cases.
